Amongst All This Hate

Amongst All This Hate

Your grab your paper and some words,
Not caring about who it hurts.

I have a wife and two dogs
3 Kids and a good Job.
But what does that all mean,
Without a good home for them and me?

She says its all gonna be okay,
That its always Darkest before the Day.
And even though I've lost a lot in my life,
I've gained more through my strife.

I have a lot of anger
For someone who is pretty much a complete stranger.
I have a lot of hate,
But still she tells me to look toward the Golden Gate.

I gaze up at the ceiling and ask God:
Whats next, my Job?

Yet I still lose my home,
While I sit and write this poem.

Now I may end-up homeless
But to you "It's just good business."
I know there is a better home out there
with less wear and tear.

Now I need to keep my chin-up and have some Faith
And not sit and wonder why I have this Fate.
But instead, look for something great,
amongst all this Hate.
